Tools for Study

The digital environment can be overwhelming. Find resources here to help orient your journey into the intellectual life, whether a member or just a visitor.

Publications

The Lyceum Institute, as part of its mission to preserve and extend liberal education in the digital age, publishes not only reprints of classic, public domain works, but also original texts, both under our own imprint and in conjunction with other publishers.

Here, you will find in Latin and English, by authors ancient and modern; works in the public domain that have been preserved and made accessible; and books authored by Faculty of the Institute.

Classical Readers

The digital age has provided us amazing tools to extend access to important works of philosophy, literature, history, and theology. This extended access benefits both expert scholars and novice students.

At the Lyceum Institute, we are engaged in the work of producing these kinds of resources: websites which benefit everyone of serious mind looking to improve his or her understanding of the great thinkers and traditions.

We believe in learning through cooperation, not competition—although a little friendly (and sometimes heated) disagreement can be a kind of cooperation!

We are proud to partner with affiliated institutions and programs that also serve to promote true learning.
