Human Formation in the Digital Age: Conference 2026

News and Announcements

This September, the Lyceum Institute will host its first in-person conference: Human Formation in the Digital Age. We will convene in St. Louis, MO, to discuss one of the most urgent questions of our time: how can we rightly-form the human person amidst the conditions of a rapidly changing digital age?

Digital technologies now shape not only our tools, but our habits of attention, judgment, memory, learning, and social life—we shaped them, we programmed them, and now they are shaping and programming us. Much discussion of these developments remains superficial or hyperbolic, veering between unbridled enthusiasm and panic-stricken alarm. This conference has been organized to foster more serious inquiry into both the dangers and the opportunities of our technological age, with particular attention to education, artificial intelligence, and the human good.

Human Formation in the Digital Age will take place on 16–17 September 2026 in St. Louis, Missouri. Those interested in attending may find registration, hotel information, and further conference details below.
